The Heritage standard

Three rules, unchanged since the first truck.

Our crew, not subs.

The people on your roof work for Heritage — and most of them have for years. Nobody learns on your house.

Walked by family.

Before we call a job done, a Heritage family member walks the roof with you and signs off on it.

Promises in writing.

Warranty, clean-site guarantee and start date go on paper before we begin. No surprises, no handshake maybes.

Services

Every roof, done the long way.

Roof replacement

Shingle, metal and tile re-roofs, torn off to the deck with every layer replaced — not laid over the old roof.

Roof repair

Leaks, lifted shingles, failed flashing and soft spots found and fixed, usually in a single visit.

Metal roofing

Standing-seam and exposed-fastener metal for homes, barns and the horse properties around Ocala.

Tile roofing

Concrete and clay tile installed and repaired by crews who work with it every week.

Roof inspections

A written, photo-documented report for buying, selling or an insurance renewal.

Storm damage

Emergency tarping after a storm, and the photographs your insurance adjuster will ask for.

Our lineage

Three generations. One way of doing it.

1995

One truck.

Heritage started with one truck, one ladder and one rule: the roof has to outlast the mortgage.

2008

The second generation.

The next generation took over the crews and added metal roofing for the farms and horse country around Ocala.

2021

The third.

A grandson came on, and the rule still stands: every roof gets walked by family before we call it done.

What’s under a Heritage roof

Five layers. None of them skipped.

  1. Roof deck

The plywood under everything, inspected and re-nailed. Soft or rotted boards are replaced, not covered.

  2. Sealed water barrier

A self-adhered membrane over the deck. If the shingles ever go, the water still doesn’t get in.

  3. Underlayment

Synthetic underlayment across the whole roof, lapped and fastened to pattern.

  4. Drip edge & flashing

Metal at every edge, wall and valley — where most leaks actually start.

  5. Shingles & ridge vent

Architectural shingles hand-nailed to the manufacturer’s pattern, finished with a ridge vent so the attic can breathe.

How it goes

From first call to final walk.

  1. Free inspection

We climb it, photograph it and show you what we found — good and bad.

  2. Written proposal

Materials, price, start date and warranty on one page. No pressure, no expiring discounts.

  3. Installation

Our own crew, a clean site every evening, and a magnet sweep for nails before we leave.

  4. The final walk

A Heritage family member walks the finished roof with you. Then the warranty is yours.
